This is Athena, my sister in law's dog. The photo was taken on Christmas Day and she is checking out a peice of wraping paper.

And onto my other project for the year - a thought about being left handed:

Left Handers really are special, and brain scanning, along with the latest genetic technology is finally enabling scientists to crack the mysteris of what mkes up left handed. Research geneticist Clyde Franks of Oxford University found that left handers tend to share a variant of a gene named LRRTM1. This gene, however, appears to influence handedness only if it is inherited from the father.
