Unknown Elizabeth Scouting Photos

Hi,

This semester, I am doing a TAFE Subject called "Write History for Publication" The topic that I am looking at specifically is Scouting in Elizabeth. The idea for this was sparked at a council dinner last year, when a lady was talking about how in the early days, as a Guide Leader, she and her assistant would run the Brownies under the school shelter shed until they had their own hall to use. they would run on a saturday morning. As she was talking, the CEO commented (totally unaware I am sure of my thinking at the time) along the lines of "This sort of history needs to be recorded".

As a result, when looking at the electives for my course (Advanced Diploma of Arts - Professional Writing), I saw a opportunity to record the scouting hisory of Elizabeth before it is to late and it disapears.

One of the 1st places I visited, was the history section at Playford (Elizabeth) Library. I did find some photos, which I have been able to identifiy. However, the  photos below have only been tagged as 'scout' in the local library archives. I have a thought they may be scouts at the Elizabeth Celebrations. However, the person who sent them to me, has no information on them other than they are 'scouts'. I am hoping that by placing them on this site, that someone will be able to help me identify them.

Thank you for taking the time to view this blog entry and I am hoping that as time goes by, that we will be able to provide a good record of Scouting in Elizabeth.
