It Comes Down To This

We have one thing the opponents of a carbon price don’t: people power. But people power is like a muscle: if you don’t use it, you lose it. Can you join us on June 5 for a fun, family-friendly rally to say "yes" to a price on pollution and clean energy? Click here to RSVP.

The next three weeks are crucial. The Government, the Greens and the Independents are finalising the details of their response to climate change in a series of intensive negotiations beginning today. Over the next few weeks they'll decide whether to be ambitious when setting their carbon price and investments in renewable energy or whether to give in to the big polluters. As we've seen before, often the loudest voice wins.

That's where you come in.

We're joining with organisations that together represent over three million Australians to organise massive rallies across the country on June 5.

Where: Victoria Square, Adelaide CBD
When: June 5, 11am
RSVP: Click here

It's okay if you're not a 'rally' kind of person - in fact, it's better. Our movement needs people like you to come out and show your support and speak up for a clean energy future. We'll make sure June 5 is a fun, family-friendly day, with bands, great speakers and even face-painting for the kids!

Australians don’t just talk - we get on with things. On June 5, if enough of us act, we’ll change the debate over a carbon price from fear mongering over the cost of action, to awareness raising about the possibility of a clean energy future.

See you on June 5,
The GetUp Team.

P.S. We don't just need you - we need your friends, colleagues and family! Click here to find out how you can attend and help promote this event.
