Wilbur - the Cub Pack Mascot

One thing that I do, is have Wilbur the Cub Pack mascot with me and see where he can be photographed. The Cubs seem to enjoy this and tracking where he has been. At the moment, I also have Rufus, who generally hangs out with the Joeys. the biggest difference, apart from Wilbur being a sheep and Rufus is a bear, is that Rufus goes home with a different person each week and has something written into his journal. So, seeing as I have Rufus this week, below is a summary of what he has been doing today. This will be printed, along with the weekly summary and some photos that I have taken and will be placed in his folder for his return to the Joey Mob.

Today has been a rather busy day for Rufus. Rufus first off made sure the bird feed got to the feed container after measuring it out as per Akela’s instructions. We don’t want the birds getting fat! Once that was done, Rufus and Wilbur did some planting – Akela’s husband had bought some basil and this was transplanted into a more suitable container than the one it was sold in. Just when Rufus thought he could go hang out somewhere warm and dry, both Rufus and Wilbur were taken to AMMI Stadium to watch the Crows vs. Sydney Swans game this evening. It was certainly a wet evening and a very close game as well. Rufus and Wilbur hang out in Akela’s bag as that was the driest place to be. It certainly was an interesting day and both Wilbur and Rufus are glad to be home, where it is dry and warm to sleep.
