Sunflower

This is a sunflower that I am growing as apart of my cub pack challenge for this term. The photo on the left was taken on the 11th of September. I placed this up on my facebook account.

Then a friend from school emailed me and advised that to help it grown quicker, that I should put a cut down soft drinnk bottle and put it over it, creating a greenhouse effect. So, I went out the back and grabbed a empty bottle and cut it down as instructed (I have several bags of cans and bottles to be returned for their deposits - here in South Australia, we get 10 cents for empty drink containers) and put it over the plant, as can be seen on the photo on the right hand side. That photo was taken on the 12th of September.

I am going to be updating regularly and showing the progress of the sunflower as it grows and develops over the coming months.
